Avatar Authority FAQ: Every Question, Answered Straight
You've got questions about the avatar, the approval workflow, who owns the videos, and what happens if you walk away. Here are the straight answers — no runaround, no buried fine print.
Does the Avatar Actually Look Like Me?
Yes — the avatar is built from your likeness and trained on your voice. We run a single one-hour video session with you, capture your face from multiple angles, and record your voice reading prepared scripts. The system renders a digital version of you that speaks your words, in your cadence, on camera.
Straight talk on quality: it will not pass for live broadcast footage under a microscope. In a close-up held for 30 seconds, a careful viewer might clock that it is not standard video. But in a 45–60 second Reel shot in vertical format — the kind your customers scroll past at 7 PM — it performs exactly as intended. The educational content lands, your face and voice deliver it, and the viewer watches the whole thing. This tool was built for short-form educational video for the trades, published at a pace no contractor could ever sustain in front of a real camera. That is the context it was designed for.
What If I Don't Like a Video Before It Goes Live?
Nothing gets published without your sign-off. Full stop.
Every video goes through a review-and-approve workflow before it touches a single platform. You get a link, you watch on your phone, and you either approve it or send back notes. Revision rounds are included — if the script is off, if the tone is wrong, if a fact is incorrect, you flag it and we fix it. The video does not go live until you say so.
This eliminates the biggest objection contractors raise: 'what if they post something I hate?' That cannot happen. The workflow physically prevents it. You are the last door the video walks through before it hits Reels, Shorts, or TikTok. If you want a compliance review before approving — relevant for contractors who operate in regulated markets — that option is available. You own the approval gate. We own the production work.
Will My Customers Know It's a Digital Avatar?
Most won't — and here's why: they are watching a 60-second video about why their water heater is making noise, not auditing your production method. The content is what holds their attention. If it answers their question, they watch. If it doesn't, they scroll. The avatar is the delivery mechanism, not the subject.
Transparency is the right posture. If a customer ever asks directly — 'hey, is that AI?' — the honest answer is yes, and that answer costs you nothing. Plenty of contractors use video editors, teleprompters, scriptwriters, and B-roll they didn't film themselves. The avatar is a production tool in the same category. What matters to your customer is whether the advice is solid and whether you show up when the job needs doing.
One place to be careful: regulated industries can have specific disclosure rules for AI-generated content. If you operate in a trade category or state with relevant requirements, flag it during onboarding and we will factor it in. For most home-service trades — plumbing, HVAC, electrical, garage door — no blanket regulatory disclosure is required for short-form educational social video. Review with your own counsel if your situation warrants it.
How Long Does the Setup Take?
The avatar build completes within 14 days of your setup session. First videos are delivered to your review queue within 21 days of signing. The first batch is published within 30 days of your kickoff call.
One hour from you at the start — the setup session — and then videos arrive for your approval. No back-and-forth during the build, no mid-process drafts to review, no extra calls to attend. You show up once, you review videos as they land, and the calendar fills with content.
Do I Have to Come Up With the Video Topics?
No — topic generation is part of what you're paying for. During onboarding, we run an intake that pulls your expertise: the questions you get asked on job sites every week, the problems customers call about most, the seasonal work that drives your revenue. That intake feeds the content engine.
We layer in seasonal demand patterns, local market research, and the questions homeowners actually search for. Each month you receive a topic list to review — add topics, remove topics, or approve it as-is. There is no blank page in front of you. No 'write 30 ideas for Reels by Friday.' That work stays on our side. Your job is to review and approve, which takes about 10 minutes per month — not 10 hours. The goal is that you barely notice the production work happening, and then videos show up ready for your sign-off.
What Happens to the Videos If I Cancel?
All produced videos belong to you. The avatar build deliverables — your digital likeness, your voice model — belong to you. When you stop the monthly subscription, you keep every video produced and delivered to that point.
The monthly fee covers ongoing production: scripting, rendering, approvals, and publishing. When you cancel, production stops. The library of videos you have already approved stays yours to post, reshare, or archive as you see fit. Nothing is held hostage to continued payment.
Legal and operations: confirm exact ownership terms and portability of avatar deliverables before this page is published.
Is There a Long-Term Contract or Can I Cancel?
The $5,000 setup fee is a one-time investment to build your avatar. After that, the $3,500/month production fee runs month-to-month — no annual lock-in, no 12-month minimum. Cancel with standard notice.
We don't lock you in because we don't want to. If the videos are not performing for your business after a few months, that is a conversation worth having — not a contract clause that traps you. The goal is that you stay because results justify it, not because exit fees make leaving expensive.
Legal and operations: confirm exact cancellation notice period and any applicable terms before this page is published.
Can I Do This If I'm Not Tech-Savvy?
Yes. Your two touchpoints in this entire process are one hour for the setup session and a video review link that opens on your phone. No dashboards, no logins, no platforms to learn. You watch videos, tap approve or leave a note, and we handle everything else — scripting, rendering, captions, platform posting, and performance reports.
If you can text a customer back, you can run this. The workflow was built that way on purpose. The contractors who need this most are spending their evenings on admin work, not shopping for another software subscription to manage.
